Fire in Southern Ecosystems (FISE) workshop

A free Fire in Southern Ecosystems (FISE) workshop on teaching the importance of fire in the Southeast will be offered on October 1st from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge. You can register for the workshop by going to http://fireinflorida.org/workshops/ and selecting the Loxahatchee workshop. All participants will receive free materials including a curriculum guide with 13 activities, videos, and teaching PowerPoints. For formal teachers who want to attend, all activities are correlated to the updated state education standards and include test prep questions.
